RAXI orchestrates five roles into a single response. It doesn't ask any partner to become something they're not.
Fleet insurance runs 3.5–7% of vehicle value for commercial operations in Kenya, and a single serious accident can mean a repossession spiral — six weeks off the road is enough to trigger loan default. RAXI's telematics layer plugs directly into your existing webhook infrastructure and turns crash response from a liability into a managed, data-backed process.
It also removes the single biggest reason women don't apply to ride: the fear of what happens if something goes wrong. A guaranteed ambulance and guaranteed hospital admission is a concrete answer to a family's objection — not a slogan.
STATUS: IN CONVERSATIONPrivate hospitals routinely demand KES 50,000–200,000 upfront before treating trauma patients — not from indifference, but because a manual "Letter of Undertaking" issued during office hours is worthless at 3 a.m., and SHA's own transition has left many facilities distrustful of government reimbursement.
RAXI's GOP code is verifiable in seconds by USSD, backed by a standing Letter of Credit from the underwriting insurer — so your ER team can admit without the credit risk, and you receive the patient's summary and severity assessment before the ambulance even arrives.
STATUS: IN CONVERSATIONRAXI doesn't compete with underwriters — it sits as a Third-Party Administrator between your balance sheet and the point of care, automating what is currently a manual, office-hours-only process. Real-time coverage verification, real-time GOP issuance, and telematics-informed risk data reduce both claims processing time and adjudication guesswork.
The pilot is structured to validate whether EV riders protected by RAXI's safety infrastructure merit preferential premium pricing — data you don't currently have a way to collect.
STATUS: IN CONVERSATIONRAXI does not operate its own ambulance fleet, and has no intention to. What it adds is the detection and payment-guarantee layer upstream of dispatch: a validated crash, with a pre-issued GOP code attached, arriving at your API rather than a delayed phone call.
STATUS: API REVIEWEDThe Nairobi Corridor pilot generates a structured, geo-tagged, time-stamped record of driving behaviour, road-surface noise, gender-differentiated risk exposure, and emergency response latency — and links it directly to hospital admission outcomes. That link is the gap: very few African e-mobility datasets exist, and none currently connect telemetry to what happened at the hospital.
RAXI is a participant in KCIC's Women in E-Mobility incubation programme, run in partnership with Coventry University London, ACTS, CUSE, and the British Council — and is separately exploring how this dataset can support formal academic research.
